Good Day Pharmacy is more than just a place to fill prescriptions—it’s a story of family, growth, and unwavering dedication to the communities we serve. Our journey began in the early 1980s when David and Nancy Lamb took a leap of faith and purchased their first pharmacy in Loveland, known then as Doug’s Pharmacy (yes, from none other than Doug himself!). This single location was the foundation of what would eventually become a locally owned pharmacy network built on trust, exceptional care, and a deep commitment to our patients.
Growing to Serve More Communities
After getting their start in Loveland, David and Nancy, alongside now-CEO Vicki Einhellig, set their sights on growth. The next step? A second location in Fort Collins, nestled in the Spring Creek Medical Park—what our team lovingly refers to as “Spring Creek” to this day.
But they didn’t stop there. Over the years, more pharmacies were acquired, each one chosen with the same purpose in mind: to better serve the healthcare needs of our Colorado communities.
At first, the acquired pharmacies kept their original names, but as the business grew, it became clear that a unified brand would help build recognition and trust. A few name contenders were tossed around—like Dave & Vicki’s, Medicine Shoppe, and even the (not-so-serious, but definitely funny) Dealing Doug’s Drugs. Can you imagine walking into Dealing Doug’s Drugs today? That probably wouldn’t have given off the best first impression!
After much thought, the leadership team made the big decision: all locations would come together under one name—Good Day Pharmacy. And from the early-to-mid 90s onward, that name has been at the heart of everything we do.
